Life Is Beautiful - Blog Hop

I have a new release that I hope you will enjoy.  I can't wait for you to visit the other gals blogs too to see all the wonderful creations.

We have a wonderfulcolorful hop for you to enjoy today. The stamps are available for purchase now, you will want them all by the end of the hop.

I decided to make a card using "Bird on a Branch".  I colored and cut out 3 stamped images and layered them to give it dimension.  It was relaxing to sit around and just cut the image...over and over...and over.   Remember when your doing image piercings you do not have to color all the images, just the edges that you might see.   This stamps would be perfect for any occasion.

Copics: E40 E41 E42 E43 E44 E47 E49 E99 E35

I used a Karen Burniston die to create the feel of the bird actually "hanging out" on a branch.  I love how these dies have a fun interaction.  the possibilities are endless.  You can find her dies through Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Comment on each blog, because 2 of them hold the prize. What is the prize???  Two lucky winners will win 2 stamps from the hop. The winner will be announced on Sunday February 1st at 8:00 pm est

If you have gotten lost along the hop, here is the order . . .

Love You More

Here is a beautiful rose from Stampendous.  I am usually not a huge fan of roses...let me rephrase that...I don't enjoy coloring roses.  I LOVED coloring this rose!!!  I used a sentiment from the clear set called Life Words.    I am very pleased with the end result.  if you love flowers this is one to get your hands on.  I hope you enjoyed this little bit of inspiration...TONS more Stampendous stamps will be shown over the next month as I have been stock-piling some cards.

Some things are better left untouched...what i mean is that it is okay to leave white.  Leaving white can give your image a little POP.  Don't you think it worked well with this image?  I do!

Crazy4Challenges Opposite Day

Did you know that tomorrow is National Opposite Day and Crazy4Challenges Blog is celebrating? To celebrate this funky holiday make a card/project that has opposites on it. Think opposite colors on the color wheel, stripes and polka dots, black and white, mirror image, etc.
I decided to go with opposite colors...what is better then an orange and blue combo....NOTHING!  It actually happens to be my favorite for card making.  For this card I used a NEW release from Dustin Pike in rubber through CC Designs.  I joke that he is actually farting in the coffee...cause I think I am funny that way you a cowboy bubble bath?  Okay, maybe i am not so funny but it sounded funny in my head.   You could come up with so many funny sentiments for this one!  Well ya'all have a good day...snicker.

New Release - LDRS

Little Darling Rubber Stamps has fabulous new rubber that was just released at CHA.  You are going to love them like I do.  Did you know they carry Saturated Canary in rubber?  They are the perfect size to color.  I enjoyed making this card for display at CHA.

I have realized that having a baby makes one a very busy it took me a week to make 5 cards.  So much for "busting' them out!  I still find time to enjoy my coloring time even if its in 5 minute spurts.

Here are the colors I used for this image (don't you love orange and olive together?)

Special Delivery

Special Delivery...this stamps can be perfect for boy or girl....all you have to do is change the cloud color and the blanket color.  I did this one for a baby girl, but the possibilities are could even stamp it twice and cut out the blanket and dragon and adhere to look like twins...OY twins....My little bundle of joy keeps me busy enough, i couldn't imagine twins, and to think i was praying to be blessed with once.  Whew!

Come hang with me at Scraps of Love and get to color this image with me at the end of the month here in Arizona.

Smell of Coffee

Nothing like the smell of coffee in the morning.  Make It Crafty has a new challenge up on the blog...water coloring.  So I thought I would watercolor with coffee...NO...not drink coffee while I water color (although I am doing that too).  Did you know you can get some nice sepia tones with coffee granules?  I used cheap instant coffee/water and a paint brush to achieve this look.  You don't have to go this extreme but it was fun to water color.  Why don't you get out your water-brush or paint brush and your favorite medium and play with the water-color effect too.  Grab a MakeitCrafty image and post your watercolor project for your chance to win.

Crazy4Challenges Sketch

Having so much fun doing the challenges at Crazy4Challenges Blog.  This week is a sketch challenge and I have tried my best to follow along...somewhere in this card I think it works...or not.  I have such a hard time following rules.  Ha Ha.  Anyway the challenge did inspire me to make this card.

I used another LittleMissMuffet Stamp and added Creative Color placement to make the face.  If you don't feel comfortable giving that technique a try then you can buy the faces stamps from LMMS and make it easy...but come on give it a try.  Be sure and join in on the fun Crazy4challenges challenge too !

I Love You!!

I have joined Power Poppy Design team for a few, and this is the digital image we all got to play with.  I do love coloring flowers and she has some delightful flowers to color up and make into cards. These images are digital so you can resize to whatever size you desire.  Digi's are fun and flexible!  I chose to rotate the image and add in the sentiment for my card.  I printed it small enough to be an A2 size.  It was very quick and easy to color even with all the flowers details.

You can find this image in the store HERE

Sea and Sky - Tutorial

See the card above?  This is one of my new images using the sea turtle.  I thought I would share a little trick I have been doing for a while to create a look of crashing waves or puffy clouds.  It isn't going to be an exact look but rather give the impressions.  it is also a blast to do!  Here is a step by step on how the look is acheived.

Birthday Wishes

This adorable little giraffe would be perfect for a boy, girl or baby birthday don't you think?  I had to add a little glitter  to the frosting to top it off.  This image is nice because its simple enough that it can make a "quick" card if you are in a hurry.  I hope you can join in on the next Creative Coloring Class at Scraps of Love.  Details under "class schedule" tab above

Crazy4Challenges Fun

Over at Crazy4Challenges Blog they started this month with a clean slate, right? here is what I created with the latest challenge theme.  See the picture below of the amazing crafting space? What you would put in this room? What supplies came to your mind first?  The challenge is to take the first things you thought of (in addition to stamps and paper) and use them on your card.

Of Course the first thing to add to my craft room is my Copics!  Then I would need my pattern paper and cutter....pop up foam tape and tape runner....then i think I am all set!  Here is a little cutie just in time for Valentines day from LittleMiss Muffet Stamps.  I gave him a face that will melt your heart.  If you need a little motivation and inspiration be sure and join in on the challenge.  I would love to see what you come up with.
