Stocking Stuffer

I took a moment to do some therapy coloring and play with an idea that has been rattling around in my brain.  OOOOOh you are going to love this!  First I colored up this adorable digital from Bloobel Stamps.  If you know me you know I love quirky.  I just thought this one was just the sweetest quirky stocking stuffer.

Okay check this out....I have done this a few times now but haven't mentioned it.  How many of you have stash or rhinestones, pearls, beads and misc doodads laying around ?  Check our how your can embellish your embellishments...add a little something to the already yummy Nuvo Crystal drops.  SAY WHAAAAAT?!!  I know!!  The possibilities are endless.  I placed a slightly larger amount of the Nuvo Crystal Drops then I normally use so that when I placed the gem, it encompassed the bottom making a bezel.  Cool Huh?!  With all the Nuvo color choices you can have so much fun with this concept.  I can't wait to see this idea take off!

Sitting Pretty

One more fun card we will be creating next month at class.  This adorable little Gorjuss Girl - The Collector is the perfect size to sit in the center of a MFT Thank You circle die.  This will be a super fun card to make.  The hair is such a good design for flick blending too.  Did you know these stamps are only $2.60?  That is unheard of!!
Remember when you are coloring images and are using lots of black to color the lighter portions first as to not "drag" the black into the lighter colors.

Simple and Sweet

How adorable is this image?  I was recently re-introduced to these adorable stamps from 7Kids Online store.  I am having a ball coloring them up.  I also used a favorite die for the "thanks" that was a gift to Boot Camp attendees from the generous Taylored Expressions.
For this image I wanted to keep the image simple with a little white nighty.  Just by adding gray in the shadow areas allows for the impression of a white garment.  Yes, simple and sweet!!

Bunny Hugs

These Gorjuss stamps are just asking for fun coloring.  I used a large Gorjuss Girl set for this card.  The stamp is called "hush little bunny".    I had fun matching my coloring to the pattern paper.  I added fun "bunny" texture on the stuffed bunny just by placing small dots in the shadow areas with the gray markers.  Quick and easy texturing.  I do not normally like images with only eyes and no face but these are an exception.  Simple and sweet (with a bit of quirk)!
I added the "embellishment" using Tonic Studios Essentials - Buttons and Stars die set.  I colored the strip of buttons and added stitches to compliment the paper and image.  Such a simple add to any card.

Everyone Needs a Hug Sometimes

How fun is this card.  This will be one of the cards we will color at the December class in Arizona (Class info HERE).  I had gotten a paper pack that I just fell in love with from Doodlebug called Kitten Smitten and have been holding on to it for the perfect images.  All the different colors used just seemed to come together with this paper line
For this card I used one of the large set of Gorjuss girls - The Dreamer with this cute fox.  I textured up the fox using a rag and blender solution.  The image comes with a cloud with rain but I thought this was the perfect opportunity to use my cloud die from Lawn Fawn - Puffy Cloud Borders.  I love how it frames the image.  I added a peek-a-boo window so I could incorporate more of this fun paper pack.  I added a little pink hair because I love to do things a bit differently.

To top it all off I grabbed my Nuvo Crystal Drops - Ebony Black from Tonic Studios and added a little dot border.  You all know how much I love my Nuvo!  It needed a little color break-up in the "cloud" so I die cut a sentiment from My Favorite Things - Words for Friends "HUGS" and added it to the top corner.  I think it turned out adorable...and isn't your normal card layout.  What do you think?
