Doodle In Color - Copic Must Haves

Why doodle in only black when you can doodle in color?  Did you know Copic has colored Multiliners?  Yes they do!!  For this little "Jenntangle" I am working on I used the Cobalt .3 multiliner.  I have a lot more to do before it is done but everything in my life is a slow progress with a little one.  It is something I can do a little at a time without worrying about getting out of the "groove" or worrying about it drying.  These pens work fabulous with the Copic markers too!

You can buy these individually or in color sets.  You can also buy different tip sizes.  If you love pink then buy the set of pink multilines that comes in 4 sizes.  So many choices!

Check out all the options HERE.

You can also ask your local store to start carrying these on a regular basis.

It Just Makes Sense - Copic Must Haves

Yes that's right...some things just make SENSE!  Imagination International Inc now has these clever books that you can carry around with you for journaling, taking notes, doodling and more.  They come in different styles and sizes to fit your personal needs.  They are called senseBooks.
For my senseBook I thought I would do a little perspective lettering.  It was harder than I thought.  I was going to color the whole page but decided to stop and share what I have done so far.  I know I will go back to it again later and do some more.  It was fun to do!  The paper is a cream color which is a nice change to the white paper I normally use.  Although it wasn't created specifically for Copic Markers it takes the ink very nicely.  Just keep in mind it will bleed through so you will want to put a protective sheet in between when coloring.  That stuff doesn't bother me though.
I started out with a ruler and a pencil and created what I thought I wanted.

Then taking a multiliner I outlined it and started doing some pointillism (thats the little dots).

I then colored it in using C1 C3 C5 C7 C9

Fun to look at it from different directions as crease in the book changes the look of the shadow of the lettering.

3 different sizes in 3 different styles are:

Red Rubber elastic enclosure notebook

  • Thread binding
  • Red ribbon bookmark
  • 135 numbered pages
  • Acid-free wood paper
  • Personal information page
  • Red, elastic rubber band closure
  • 16 perforated pages for easy removal
  • Hand-sewn, genuine cowhide leather cover
  • 7 pages of index for individual organization
  • Ruler of paper with centimeters and inches
  • Available in three page styles -- blank, ruled, or squared

  • Pen loop
  • Thread binding
  • Red ribbon bookmark
  • 135 numbered pages
  • Interchangeable refills
  • Acid-free wood paper
  • Personal information page
  • Flap closure and leather belt
  • Business card holder on inside flap

  • Hand-sewn, genuine cowhide leather cover
  • 7 pages of index for individual organization
  • Ruler of paper with centimeters and inches

Some are ruled and some are many choices but with any of these books you can not go wrong!  Does that make "Sense"?

In My Prayers

I thought I would give my hand at coloring more pastel-like, which is a challenge for me as I LOVE vivid coloring.  This new digital image is by Power Poppy and has just been released.  It is called Rose and Chamomile.
Did you know that June is National Rose Month in the US? To help celebrate these perennial favorites, we’re showcasing a single rose bloom unfurling amongst a swirl of chamomile and rosehips. If you are wanting to switch it up a bit, the rose image is also included without the extra flowers and rosehips! Imagine this cluster of beauty colored up multiple ways, from the softest whites to the deepest reds. It's a versatile grouping that will have you returning to color again and again. This downloadable digital set includes the sentiment "You are in my prayers".

Come Over for Tea

I thought it would be cool to combine a couple stamps and do a little fussy-cutting.  I colored Tea Time by LDRS Creative and then colored up Pattern Love stamp by Saturated Canary (Sold through LDRS.  I cut out the little girl and the tea table and popped them up off the card.  It added some fun dimension to this card without taking too much time.
