Old Revitalized - FANTASY BOX

I was very excited about the end result with this Fantasy Box (made using Bare Elements Shelly case). This box was a challenge to make because I am used to making things from scratch. I will be teaching this project to a group of friends this weekend. I hope they are as thrilled with the project as I am. Bare Element Shelly Case will be available at Just4funcrafts next week

Old Project Revisited - Fantasy Box

This is an old project I did. I felt it only fitting to use the "old film" slide show. I am going to be teaching a class to 15 friends, showing them how to make this box. As soon as i find the time I am going to make tutorials for all my projects. I am trying to tackle large projects at this time, so tutorials will have to wait. Enjoy the show.

Flower Power Palette

I love to work in the Garden. These are photos of my garden. A few are of a trip to Northern we have no redwood trees in Arizona. I love to use the colors of nature to create projects. Your Challenge is to find a flower you love and create something using those colors...are you up to the challenge?

Can I say PROCRASTINATE? (I can barely spell it....)

Its been a while since i have worked on a layout...AND placed a photo on a layout I have made. Here are old layouts I completed (and some still don't have photos on them, or titles...okay so they really aren't done yet, thanks for the reminder). I think its time to get back into placing those photos on my pages and putting them into my albums. Its amazing how my style has changed in the last 10 years of scrapbooking/paper crafting. I am not showing the first ones I made, OMG they are scary. This just might be the push I needed to get back into the scrapbooking mood again...Now if only i could find my craft area underneath all the paperwork.

Oh Teacher......

...they are picking on me!!

This Paper Bag Album, with inspirational sentiments was made for a wonderful teacher that my son had. She puts extra time into knowing her students, so she can teach them in the way that works for each of them individually. We, as teachers of art should do the same with our adult students, who are craving to learn. Each one learns differently. Some by way of showing, some by way of telling.

This gift was made for her with pockets so each student could write about what she meant to them...she walked away with their memories of her. Great teachers are hard to come by...I am glad we were blessed with this one. Thank you Ms. Hamrick! Find someone in your life that has made you smile, and return the favor in some way.

Thnk you Lois for pointing this slide show thingy out to me...You rock!

Sands of Time....

This Box was a Belated Birthday gift for a friend who traveled to the beach with her family for vacation. I was late with a birthday gift for her (as always...where does my time go?), so i requested that she bring back some sand from the beach. She brought back a bag of sand and I made this Scrapbook In A Box using her sand. I took spray adhesive and sprayed paper with it, then pressed it into the sand. I cut out a castle out of paper and covered it with sand...then followed the instructions for a Scrapbook in a Box to complete it. Yes, using sandpaper would have been easier...but I don't seem to do "easy". My friends have discovered that in MY LIFE TIME they will get ONE "wowwie" gift...this was hers. My projects take many hours, days, months, even years. I must learn to complete things I start before they gather dust. To all my life is not over still will get your gift, someday. Until then...your gift is ME :) For instructions on how to make an explosion box I have put a LINK HERE. Thank you Anso for allowing me to link to your instructions.

Where Has The Time Gone

Why is it that when we finally get into a groove (whatever we may be trying to accomplish) that the time seems to be gone within a blink of an eye? I have been working on making lists of things that need to be completed, no matter how big or small the task is...its put on a list. I love the feeling of crossing an item off. Today was fun. Organizing the warehouse, unpacking NEW items for the store, always reordering...and somehow finding time to start another project. Today TIME was on my side. Speaking of TIME....Now is the time to start planning your Christmas gifts, and making your cards. Check out Just4funcrafts to get your items to create with, at wonderfully LOW prices. How about a cute PIZZA BOX ALBUM or a nice CLEAR PAIL filled with goodies....NOW is the time to make your list and start planning....don't tell me later that I didn't remind you to get started now. So, go make your list and check it twice!

Fall is Here...

And the heat is slowly dissipating. It time to plant the winter crop in the garden. I love this time of year because you can actually go outside and breathe without scorching. Arizona summers can be almost unbearable...but if you last the summer the winter is wonderful. I love taking photos of artwork by the flowers so the feeling of flowers and sun stay with me through out the winter months without the intensities of the sun on my head. Here is a WINDOW TIN I made with the tins from JUST4FUNCRAFTS. They are easy to embellish and whatever you put inside, you can see through the window. Wouldn't this be perfect for a Xmas gift filled with goodies or thank you cards, or how about a Halloween candy tin made by my friend Lois. So many options, for such an inexpensive gift. I did its your turn.
