Wanna Make a Rose? Tutorial

Here is a tutorial I made up. Sorry but I guess i could have had better lighting...but you will get the idea.

Supplies needed:

Vellum paper
Copic markers 2 similar shades (do not need to have these)
mega scallop punch
Large brad
glimmer mist or spray bottle (i used pearl glimmer mist)

Punch 5 or 6 scallop circles

color edges with copic marker (or not)

lay together all circles and pierce a hole through center and insert brad

cut slits all around circle

fold up each "petal"

spray with glimmer mist (or water) and watch petals curl

That's it...of course you can use any size scalloped circle and get the same result...just different sizes. Stay tuned to see the project i am working on with these roses!

This is VERY cool! Thanks for sharing! If one doesn't have Glimmer Mist...water sprayed on does the same type of effect, correct?

Can't wait to see the project with these gorgeous roses!

Jeanne i have to admit i didnt try the water....but i will try it today and give you a result as i dont want you to ruin a rose....

Okay with some experimenting....water doesnt work as nicely as i would like...but mix a small bottle of 50% liquid hairspray to 50% water..then spray will start to curl. Have FUN!

Back again! I was re-reading your post and realized I forgot the step about folding up the flowers. Ooops. But, I was you spray lightly or saturate the vellum?

I'm going to try again today. I just love how these look!
