Cards R Us.......

Well it appears that I am out of my funk and I am really enjoying making cards these days. I made 5 cards today...okay, I made 1 cards and 4 others are in process. I need sentiments on them. I am having a blast and it is keeping my mind busy. I have a very understanding and patient Hubby who doesn't complain when I hang out in my Hobby room. He says I have a "very rough life". Life is Good!

These cards I have been making utilizes my scrap well. Paper used is CTMH Pattern paper with Honey cardstock. I hand stitched the card with WAX LINEN.

Look Mom...No Flowers!

My Mom is my biggest fan, but tells me I seem to overdue things with flowers...But I love Flowers...So this project was done almost strictly with paper. I used recycled acetate packaging for the boxes (they are what my Christmas ornaments came in). Just cut off one end, or cut one down and use the end for a lid. I lined them with paper and chipboard and added a stamped image to complete them. Now I just need to fill them with goodies.

I am trying to use up my Basic Grey paper I started using the scraps to make some cards. My paper is going further than I expected. I made 4 cards so far, but am only posting my favorite. I think it would be easier to give up on the idea of using up all my paper and move on. So enjoy my creations, simple and without flowers.

Few and Far Between...

I do not usually make card for Christmas, but this year I made a woppin' 5 cards. I kept them very simple and thought I would show them off. I had a hard time keeping them plain and then repeating the same thing on 5 times. You would think it would be easier. So, Enjoy! And Merry Christmas to you all!

Cold Nose, Warm Heart

So, I was inspired by Faith's artwork and had to make a card for myself. This was so fun to create. I used PSX tree stamp and a snowman from CTMH. Colors used are Sunflower, Chocolate and New England Ivy. I actually made two cards similar to each other, so I could keep one for myself. During the busy holiday season I am enjoying creating instead of cleaning and doing what I should be doing. Aren't holidays grand?

Getting Around To It...

I am a proud owner of the Klic-n-Kut cutter. I have not had a lot of time to play with it, or work. I have done a few vinyl signs and the last scrapbook page I posted. I cut a few fun things here and there...but haven't gotten serious. I have the manual on the computer, but until now have relied on my buddy Sandy (wrote the manual, and makes the KNK tutorials), but didn't take time to read it. Determined to learn the program inside and out I printed the manual. Well that wasn't enough....using my Bind-it-all I decorated it. Now It's just right for learnin'. Let the fun begin. What fun colors to, teal, blue, lime and of course my favorite...yellow! It matches my "original" KNK...woo hooo...and my truck...did I mention I love Yellow?

Love's Me Not...LOVE'S ME!!

This is a 2 page layout I made using my Klic-n-Kut cutter. I designed the flourishes, daisies and words and then used lots of small dots for shading (pointillism). This is probably one of the most "clean" looking pages I have made. I have a problem with empty spaces and this was a challenge for me to stop when I did and decide space was okay. Cutters make life so much easier. I thought I would share this with you to hold you over until I get my current project (in the making) completed...Rome wasn't built in a day you know!

Olivia's Ladder

I made this "Jacobs Ladder" for my niece Olivia. I used COASTERS for the base of the project. The paper is from CTMH. I put tags with sentiments and photos of our time together. Wouldn't a gift like this be perfect for the holidays?

I really HAVE been busy!! ...Promise....

I have been feverishly working on a gift for my friends at CREATIVE IMPRESSIONS, but couldn't share until they received the gift. Well the time has come, and now I can post. The pail, micro brads, mini brads, and biggie brads and ribbon can be purchased though our site. If we don't currently show it in stock we can special order it for you. Feel free to email us with questions to I decorated the pail and drilled holes in the bottom of the pail to insert tiny battery operated Xmas lights that light up. I filled it with chunky glitter "snow" and a mini Lenox Christmas tree. The flower on the top was handmade out of the red vellum that is on sale through Just4funcrafts. I also used a felt flower from the New line of felt flowers made by Creative Impressions. Just4funcrafts will be carrying them shortly. I hung small spiral clips from fishing line under the lid to look like snow flakes. This was a fun project to make. There are so many other things you can do with the pails...a Valentines day scene...a Halloween scene...birthday scene....the ideas are endless. Just get out your pail and play!

A Day To Create

I was very thrilled to be apart of my friends, Jane and Elaine's, play date. We spend a full day sitting in the sun and doing whatever project we wanted to do. As I have been too busy with life to come up with a complex project, I decided to take the essentials (cutter, adhesive, some punches, ink, stamps and paper) and see what my little brain could come up with. I created 3 cards when i wasn't busy chatting, eating and laughing. These cards were inspired from a blog I recently found. This lady creates cards (on a daily basis) that I could not even compare to. Go check out the cards on this BLOG. Thank you Faith for the inspiration. While making these cards I was thinking about my friend Lois who is an expert on card making. It has been years since I made cards. I cant wait to do more. Lois...come over and play! Stamps were Technique Tuesday, Paper is CTMH pattern paper, and Cardstock is made by PRISM and can be found ON SALE at

Old Project Revisited - Fantasy Box

This is an old project I did. I felt it only fitting to use the "old film" slide show. I am going to be teaching a class to 15 friends, showing them how to make this box. As soon as i find the time I am going to make tutorials for all my projects. I am trying to tackle large projects at this time, so tutorials will have to wait. Enjoy the show.

Flower Power Palette

I love to work in the Garden. These are photos of my garden. A few are of a trip to Northern we have no redwood trees in Arizona. I love to use the colors of nature to create projects. Your Challenge is to find a flower you love and create something using those colors...are you up to the challenge?

Can I say PROCRASTINATE? (I can barely spell it....)

Its been a while since i have worked on a layout...AND placed a photo on a layout I have made. Here are old layouts I completed (and some still don't have photos on them, or titles...okay so they really aren't done yet, thanks for the reminder). I think its time to get back into placing those photos on my pages and putting them into my albums. Its amazing how my style has changed in the last 10 years of scrapbooking/paper crafting. I am not showing the first ones I made, OMG they are scary. This just might be the push I needed to get back into the scrapbooking mood again...Now if only i could find my craft area underneath all the paperwork.
